Hey my name is Allen Moore. I am a 29 year old worship leader from Goldsboro, NC. I grew up in church, but like a lot of people, I strayed. I got caught up in some things that I am not all that proud of. I’m so blessed that God gave me that second chance. I dedicated my life to Jesus Christ when I was 16 years old. At the time I was playing bass guitar in a punk rock band. I gave that up and started using my talents for Christ. I have played several different instruments in church including drums, bass guitar, lead guitar, and acoustic guitar. I have also served as Sound Technician and Media Technician.

I started leading worship when I was 19 years old for the youth group at my home church. We had no band and 4 singers. We started out using soundtracks. A month later we started practicing with the youth that played instruments. That band developed and evolved over the years and we ended up with two singers, a bright young musician on keyboards, a great drummer, a very talented bass player, and myself on guitar and leading worship. I served in that capacity for 9 years and I loved every minute of it. In June of 2007, I started leading worship for our church and in September of that same year I stepped down as worship leader for our youth group in order to turn my focus toward our church’s worship team and to also give someone else the chance to develop like I did. The band from my days as worship leader for our youth group is now the worship band for our church. I also play lead guitar for our youth group. We are praying that God will provide a young person to play. I’m not a great lead guitarist, I can pick up leads licks from others but never have been able to create me own.

I also serve as Media Director for my church with my duties including visual designs for sermons whether it be still or motion objects. I also maintain my church’s website.

I have been blessed to work with some great musicians and worship leaders over the years including Lindell Cooley, Fusebox, Cross Country, and many others. I thank the Lord every chance that I get.

I work full time as an IT Systems Administrator for Wayne County NC Government. My job has been a true blessing from God and I love it there. I am working with great people that are teaching me a lot about the field I am in.
